Road Ready
Road Ready is the main resource for teaching Road Safety in South Australia. It is a joint publication between Transport SA and Department of Education and Children Services.

Road Ready is comprised of nine books, three each for Junior, Middle and Upper Primary. Each book covers:

  • crossing procedure
  • pedestrian safety
  • passenger safety.

The books contain comprehensive lesson notes for teachers, and accompanying activity sheets. Also included is a set of 30 discussion pictures – large colour posters of road safety situations. These posters are linked to Road Ready lessons and are designed to generate discussion in a classroom setting.

Road Ready SACSA Supplement
This Supplement is a set of three books, one each for Junior Primary, Middle Primary and Upper Primary, housed in a red case. The books assist teachers to align activities from Road Ready with SACSA outcomes.

Included with each book are two CDs. One CD contains the sounds and songs that are a part of the Road Ready activities, and the other has the books on a PDF file.
